Delivery UK Mainland excluding Northern Island, Scottish Highlands and Islands
We provide two shipping options for our UK customers: standard delivery with DPD and cold shipping with igloo.
Standard Delivery
Our standard delivery service is available in various locations, including UK Mainland, Channel Isles, and Isle Of Wight. Please note that this service is not temperature-controlled. We strive to dispatch all orders within two working days of receiving the order, and customers can expect next day delivery. To maintain the product's quality during transit, we use multilayer foamed envelopes/boxes that can keep the temperature for up to 72 hours.
Once you place your order, we will send you a text and email notification within one working day, indicating the delivery date. It is essential to keep refrigerated and consume the products within five days upon receipt. If you miss the delivery, we cannot guarantee the product's quality. Our couriers deliver Tuesday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. Please note that if you miss your delivery, you can contact your local DPD depot directly. If you want to purchase fresh or frozen products not listed in our online shop, please email customerservice@tajimaya.co.uk for availability and pricing. For any further assistance, please visit https://track.dpdlocal.co.uk/.
Standard UK delivery charge
Our standard UK delivery charge is £5.50 for orders under £60, and £2.50 for orders over £60. Orders over £150 qualify for free standard UK delivery. Please note that this exclusion does not apply to Northern Ireland, where delivery is currently suspended due to a recent rule change until further notice.
Cold Shipping
We offer temperature-controlled cold shipping to customers in England (except EX, TQ, PL, TR) and Scotland (EH, ML, G, PA only). Our aim is to dispatch all orders within two working days of receiving them, with next day delivery. Our cold shipping option is highly recommended for its quality guarantee. Our couriers deliver between 9 am - 5 pm on Tuesday to Friday. The frozen products can be stored in the freezer until the expiry date shown on the label.

Returns & Refund
Tajimaya UK is committed to ensuring that customers receive the correct and satisfactory quality goods. We do not exchange items or accept returns. However, if you receive incorrect goods or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, or you are dissatisfied with the quality of the goods, please notify us as soon as possible. For perishable goods, inspect them upon delivery and contact us immediately by email if there are any complaints. We may request a photograph of the goods in question and may require you to return the product to us. If required to return the product, we will refund the postage and packaging cost. If you need to amend or cancel your order, please email us at customerservice@tajimaya.co.uk within one hour of placing your order for perishable goods.
My Order Hasn't Arrived in Time?
We usually dispatch your order the next working day after you place your order. However, once your parcel leaves our warehouse, it is in the hands of our delivery partners, either APC or Igloo. If you do not receive your order on the estimated delivery day, please contact us at customerservice@tajimaya.co.uk, and we will investigate the matter with our delivery partner and update you on the status of your delivery.
Butchery Services
If you can't find what you're looking for, we offer custom meat processing services to your exact specifications. Our team maintains the highest standards of quality and care in processing your meat. This service typically takes ten working days, with fees ranging from £7.50 to £10 per kg on top of the meat cost. Please note that the minimum quantity for custom processing is 5kg. For more information, please email us at customerservice@tajimaya.co.uk, and we'll be happy to help.
How to Defrost Frozen Products
Microwaving should never be used to defrost meat as it can lead to uneven thawing and potential foodborne illness. The optimal and safe method to defrost meat is to do so slowly in the fridge overnight. However, if you need to defrost it quickly, submerging the unopened bag in cold tap water is the recommended option. It's crucial to change the water every 30 minutes to ensure that it remains sufficiently cold and doesn't enter the "danger zone" temperature range where harmful bacteria can multiply.
Identity Proofing
To ensure security and prevent fraud, we may ask for a copy of the cardholder's identification, such as a passport, driver's license, or utility bill. Only the cardholder's name needs to be visible on the copy, and any copies we receive will be immediately discarded and protected under the UK Data Protection Act 2018. If we do not receive a response within seven days, the order will be automatically cancelled.
While the majority of our orders go through smoothly, approximately 5% encounter issues that require us to verify your details. We understand that some customers may not want to verify their identity, and we will not hold your payment hostage. You may wait for the order to be automatically cancelled after seven working days, or you may withdraw your order by responding to this email. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service at customerservice@tajimaya.co.uk.
